I am an independent scholar and queer writer dedicated to understanding, exploring, and amplifying past and current queer and trans voices.

My graduate research at New York University explored how LGBTQA+ and intersectional communities are often overlooked in mainstream food media, and in response to that, how to build community for queer/trans folks in food communities.

I co-founded the Queer Food Foundation in 2020, a platform and resource for LGBTQ+ individuals in the food industry. Later, in 2024, I spoke on teaching queer food curriculum at Boston University’s Queer Food Conference. Recently, a group of academics and I launched Pantry Magazine, a queer food journal that explores culture, food systems, and community. The magazine was unveiled at the Association for the Study of Food and Society in June 2025 and is part of a larger academic project called Pantry Collective, where we explore the role queer food organizations, specifically intersectional organizations, play at a national level in our food system through a transdisciplinary lens.

My first academic chapter, on Taste, Identity, and Resistance in Food Justice Movements, will debut in Tasting Education in late 2025.
